Hisaomi Iwata, PhD
Born and raised in Japan, Hisaomi was an undergraduate in Tokyo when he published several physics papers in internationally recognized journals, starting his career as a scientist. He was able to skip Master studies and immediately started a research project in computational physics in Sweden, becoming the youngest PhD holder in the history of the department at that time. He then moved to the financial industry as a quantitative analyst in a Swiss bank. Soon after he became a derivatives and proprietary trader and gained experiences in a variety of derivatives products, equity long-short strategies and various types of arbitrage trading. After spending almost a decade in the financial industry, Hisaomi founded his own company, as well as running some web media, which have all become popular in Japan. Now, Hisaomi is aiming to expand his investment universe and customer base to the entire Asia-Pacific region and the globe from Hong Kong.
